Passion

Since I was a kid, I have always been drawn to creative expression. I find that there is something truly magical about being able to convey a message or emotion through a variety of mediums, and for me, that has always been through art, writing, and acting.
My passion for acting began when I was very young. I was always finding a way to dance on top of the table, belting out songs I made in my head. My parents quickly realized that this was a talent worth nurturing. They encouraged me in every way they could, and I quickly found that acting was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. The idea of embodying someone else’s emotions and experiences is incredibly appealing to me. There is something truly special about being able to express yourself through performative art, and I find that it is a form of therapy for me. Whenever I am feeling stressed or anxious, I can always turn to my artistic abilities and lose myself in the process of creating a new life.
Writing has also been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have always been a voracious reader, and I find that there is something truly magical about being able to transport yourself to another world through the power of words. When I was in elementary school, I got hooked on reading fantasy stories, and when I got to middle school I realized my talent for writing them. Writing allows me to explore my own thoughts and emotions, as well as to delve into a whole new world. It is an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling process, and I am constantly amazed by the power of language.
Finally, art is a relatively new passion of mine, but it is one that I have come to love deeply. I have always been fascinated by the power of visual arts, and their ability to move people with their aestheticism. When I was in lockdown, I started illustrating on a whim, and I found that I loved the rush of creating things. Since then, I have continued to develop my skills into something that I am proud of. It is an incredibly challenging thing, to create something you are proud of, but it is also one that is incredibly rewarding.
Overall, my passion for acting, writing, and art has been a driving force in my life for as long as I can remember. These three art forms allow me to express myself in a variety of different ways, and to explore the world around me in ways that are both personal and universal. I feel incredibly lucky to have found these passions, and I am excited to see where they will take me in the future.

Climate Change
Climate change is one of the biggest threats to the future of our planet, and it’s affecting everyone, including young people.
During my whole childhood, I moved around from country to country, seeing many different walks of life. Through this, I was able to see up close and personal the effects that climate change has on communities, that we in the U.S. can’t see as clearly. I would swim in streams of trash, breathe in the massive clouds of smog that would lord over our community, and watch as major forests were deforested. I was smacked in the face with the destruction of our own human race in a way that is good for my overall knowledge of the world, yet not necessarily good for my overall psyche. So, from as early as the age of 11 I found myself desperately making failed t-shirt companies to raise money for climate fighters, going on rants to my classmates about our own individual impact, and becoming a vegan for the next 6 years. The more I learned about climate change and its causes, the more I felt a sense of responsibility to do something about it.
As a child, worrying about climate change can be an overwhelming experience. The idea that the world as we know it may not exist in the future is a heavy burden to bear, and it can be difficult to know what to do about it.
Climate change can be a deeply personal issue for young people. We are the ones who will inherit the consequences of past and current generations’ actions. We are the ones who will have to deal with the effects of extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and food and water scarcity.
The weight of these concerns can lead and did personally lead me to climate anxiety, a growing condition that can cause persistent worry, fear, and despair about climate change. It’s a feeling that can be all-encompassing, affecting school performance, relationships, and overall quality of life.
For me, becoming a climate change activist was a way to channel my climate anxiety into positive action. It was a way to take control of the situation and do something about it. By becoming an activist, I felt like I was contributing to the solution, rather than just worrying about the problem.
But not every child may have the resources or support to become an activist. It’s important for adults to acknowledge the impact that climate change can have on children and to provide resources and support to help them cope with their feelings. This could include access to mental health resources, educational programs on climate change, and opportunities to participate in climate action initiatives.
Moreover, as adults, it’s essential to take the climate crisis seriously and take meaningful action. The failure of policymakers to prioritize climate change and the environment can leave children feeling powerless and hopeless. When leaders take action, it sends a message to children that their concerns are being heard and that the future of the planet is being taken seriously.
In conclusion, climate change can have a significant impact on children, leading to climate anxiety and a sense of despair. However, becoming a climate change activist can be a way to channel those feelings into positive action. It’s crucial for adults to provide support and resources to children and take meaningful action to address the climate crisis. Being a climate change Activist can be a long, and tiring journey, but it can also lead to a feeling of satisfaction with taking control over the world we will live in in the future.
